Life can feel exhausting when you're constantly carrying the mental load, putting others first, or trying to keep everything together on the outside while struggling on the inside.
I'm Rebecca, an integrative counsellor based in Plymouth. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly without fear of judgement. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs.
Many of the people I work with come to counselling feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, anxious, emotionally drained, or stuck. They may find themselves overthinking, people-pleasing, struggling with self-esteem, or feeling disconnected from who they really are.
Together, we can explore what's happening beneath the surface, helping you better understand yourself, build emotional resilience, and create lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
I believe counselling should feel like a place where you can put down the weight you've been carrying and finally have space for yourself.
My training is in integrative counselling, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches to suit the individual rather than working from a one-size-fits-all model.
My core training includes:
I also undertake ongoing professional development in areas including ADHD and neurodivergence, bereavement and grief, anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional wellbeing.
I work within an ethical framework and engage in regular clinical supervision to support safe and effective practice.
Alongside my private practice in Plymouth, I work as a counsellor with Hamoaze House and the Bereavement Counselling Service. Prior to qualifying, I volunteered with Samaritans, Childline, and the crisis text service SHOUT. These experiences gave me the opportunity to support people facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, emotional distress, crisis situations, loss, and life transitions.
Today, I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, burnt out, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns of self-criticism and people-pleasing. I have a particular interest in supporting people who are exploring ADHD or who have spent years feeling different, misunderstood, or exhausted from trying to keep up.
